Marmey & Ba-bi

So a couple of weeks ago when I went to get Micaiah up from his nap he was holding his blanket and Barney (which was actually given to Orin at Christmas) in his hands. He wanted to hold on to them as I got him out and thus started his attachment to "Marmey" (Barney) & "Ba-bi" (blanket). Now, when he's tired he'll starting naming them and walking around to look for them. I've been trying to stop nursing Micaiah before naps for a while and these have really helped! He holds them as we sing before nap and although he's asked for milk a few times I can usually distract him by pointing to "ba-bi" and "marmey." Maybe soon he can give up the milk before bed. I find it so cute how much he loves them and I wonder how long it will last. Today I was sorting laundry and as I was walking towards the laundry room and saw the blanket I threw it into my basket. Micaiah saw me and started crying and saying "Ba-bi, ba-bi..." Guess he thought I was taking it away. Luckily it was clean and dry by nap-time.
