Blue Lips

Last week when Micaiah was so sick he would get these blue lips every time he "got sick." They lasted for a while and looked a little freaky. His worse day was Thursday and I probably should have brought him to the Doctor but I was feeling AWFUL that day too and didn't do a great job of paying attention to his symptoms. We just slept together all day. When Damien got home he was concerned (to say the least) so we called the Doctor. He assured us that the blue lips we "normal" and gave us suppositories to help with the vomiting. Needless to say Micaiah wasn't happy with those experience and still gets concerned when we change his diaper. I took these pictures on Saturday when he was feeling a little better but still had the blue lips. The last picture is of his normal, beautiful red lips to compare them to. It's hard to capture them in a picture but here is the best I could do.

Hi I stumbled on your pics by accident. I don't know you, but your little boy is precious. Please don't take this the wrong way but if your child ever looks like that again please take him to the ER. Doctors cannot assess people over the phone and I can assure you that is not normal. I am an experienced registered nurse and your baby is cyanotic in that picture (meaning his oxygen level is too far below normal).
Even his face is blue. If you showed these pics to any doctor (except maybe the one who told you not to worry) I am sure they would agree. I am only trying to look out for a child's well being.
