Favorite Pictures from the Week

I seriously take too many pictures. It's out of hand. What am I supposed to do? My kids are just way too cute! Here are one or two pictures from some of our activities from the past two weeks.
Micaiah has recently taken a lot of interest in playing with the doll house. This was actually the toy Orin picked out himself when he got rid of his passy. He had his choice of the entire store (within reason) and this was what he chose. Now Micaiah, who is about the same age as Orin when he got it, is really into. It's funny because he calls it a 'dog house' just like Orin did.It actually got cold enough here that we had to wear hats and coats. It's wasn't for long (thank goodness) but the kids had fun wearing hats around. Oh, and they looked really cute too. I'm really really loving this mild winter after 5 miserable ones in VA.
On MLK Day we went to the Galleria in Dallas to let the kids play in the play area (supposedly it has the best one in the city). It was pretty nice and they had fun. After that we went downtown and took a ride on the McKinney Avenue Street Car. We got on at the beginning of the line and rode it to the end - and then back. It was probably only about a 45 minute trip but so much fun. Even better was that it was free. We got to see more of Dallas and the kids got to ride on a 'train'.The street car outing was in the midst of Orin's 'monster' trouble so he wasn't giving me any extra smiles. He actually had a great time but then put on a straight face for the camera.
Besides a few little cold fronts the weather here as been amazing. We had a picnic outside for lunch one day because it was so beautiful.Orin really enjoys puzzles and has been doing a lot lately. He actually asked me to take this picture. Oh, and look at this child's foot. He has the biggest feet ever. I wonder if he'll be tall. People actually comment on his feet. We think this is pretty ironic because at my 20 week ultrasound with Orin one of the first things the technician said was, "Wow, look at those huge feet." She said it multiple times during the ultrasound and even took pictures of just his feet.
For the last few months we've started a little tradition of having a movie night on Friday nights. It's pretty much the same as the 'Hot Dog Parties" we've had in the past, but instead of doing it randomly, we do it every Friday night. And since the kids have recently gotten sick of hot dogs, we're expanding our dinner options. We all eat dinner in the living room while watching the movie. The kids have come to look forward to it each week. We've watched "Toy Story 2", "Horton Hears A Who," "Kung Fu Panda," and other fun ones. Last week Damien decided to get "The Brave Little Toaster." Boy was that a bad idea. All he remembers is that he loved it as a kid. What he forgot was that it was when he was like 10 years old and that the movie is NOT for small children. I had never seen it so didn't know what to expect. Needless to say, we stopped it about half way through. This week we saw Mary Poppins. Did you know that movie is almost 2 1/2 hours long? The kids did a good job of sitting through the whole thing and I think they really enjoyed it.
Sometimes when the weather is nice we'll go outside before lunch and wait for daddy to come home. He'll walk down that sidewalk right there. This day Micaiah was blowing bubbles and Orin was chasing and popping them.
Sometimes daddy is a little late. We might snack a little if we get hungry.

Wow, that sounds like fun! I wouldn't mind having some mild weather here. Truthfully I am usually ready for spring by this time. Oh well. The snow is beautiful.
When Q was little he didn't like TV until he was like 3 or so. Anyway the first movie he would watch was Mary Poppins...over and over again:)
