Random April Pictures
>> Friday, May 4, 2012
Wow, April just flew by. Here are some random pictures of things we did.
We've continued to enjoy going to Chiang Mai FC games. We have so much fun and the kids just love it. It's nice to have a local sports team to get to cheer for.
Veggies anyone?
It's Mango season and it's awesome! I LOVE Mango and Sticky Rice and can't get enough of it.
The boys licking the bowl when I was making Orin's cake.
I'm not sure what these people were doing, but it was something political for elections (I assume). It was just strange to see them walking down my street with signs.
Orin's class had to write stories about taking a trip to the beach. His teacher planned a field trip to a small local pool. The kids swam and played and then they all got to read their stories to the class. So much fun!
Four people on a motorbike still makes me smile!
Sora loves riding in Songthaews. LOVES it.
Whatever spirit that lives in this Spirit house must REALLY like red soda!
Oh, these people freak me out when they ride like this on the highway going 100Km/hour.
Orin was shocked to see this...I was shocked to find out that he knew that it was a bad word! :)
For Easter our Small Group had a small brunch get together. Since just the adults meet for the Bible study, it was fun to have all of the kids together too!
Sora was just hanging out with Damien while he read (to himself).
My mom sent some great stuff for Orin's birthday and it included these goody bags. The boys had a lot of fun putting them together.
On our way up the mountain to our annual SIL conference we got stuck as this parade. I'm sure it had something to do with Songkran but otherwise we had no idea what it was for. But it was fun to watch for a bit.
Damien had to go to Immigration for our 90-day check-in a few days before Songkran and they put our passports in individual plastic bags. I thought it was hilarious. I bet they do have a lot of extra work around this time of year from tourists whose passports get messed up from the water.
Durian is now in season - which means the entire grocery store stinks all of the time! :)
I thought it was interesting to see these kids stuck behind all of this fruit. Unfortunately, it was really hot and the poor guy on the left with his head stuck out of the window was throwing up. Otherwise they looked like they were having fun.
We had this yummy food at our playgroup this week. The lady who was hosting is from Indonesia, and she served an Indonesian noodles, Chinese fried rise and a Filipino dessert. It was yummy.
Sora and her little buddy Radly hanging out on our porch. They have such fun together (and also fight a lot) and she is really going to miss him when he moves back to the US this summer.
I saw this bathing suit at the store and just had to get it for Sora. Seriously, a bathing suit with snowmen? It was just too funny.
