Care Package!

>> Wednesday, September 23, 2009

It was so nice to find out that we can send a care package to Bada. They said we had to be able to fit everything into a 9x13 envelope. That gets filled up really fast!

I found this really cute little tag blanket and thought it would be so cute to embroider it with her name. Unfortunately, I can't embroider, but luckily for me, my mom can! I mailed her the blanket but then I realized it would be even better for her to run to Wal-mart and get it instead of waiting for it. She spent a ton of time this weekend trying to get it done. We really appreciate it! It came out so cute. We put pictures of sea creatures on it too because Bada means "Sea."

Other things I included in the package were socks, two headbands, a baby photo album with our pictures in it, two disposable cameras for the foster family to take pictures of her with, a small plastic key ring, a 3-6 month size outfit and onesie, the tag blanket, and a letter to the foster family thanking them for taking care of Bada. Sometimes I've heard you even get pictures of the child in the outfits or playing with the gifts you sent that the family took with the disposable cameras. I hope one day Bada can look back at these and know how much we loved her and were thinking & praying for her while we waited.

Wow, amazed how much you were able to fit in that envelope!! Yea! So glad you liked the blanket. I thought it looked cute too, especially for such a rush job. :)

You mother is so talented. The blanket is beautiful. Also, thanks for enlarging the font. It was so much nicer to read and I was able to read it all.
