I Don't Like The Rain

I don't know what it is, but when I wake up in the morning and it's raining outside I'm often a little less happy than when I wake up and the sun is shining bright. Why is that? This summer has been gorgeous. We've had so few days of rain that we're on water restrictions. (no watering lawns, etc...) I've loved it. But the last couple of days the rains have come - and I find that I'm crabby and not very nice to the kids in the morning. I'm less likely to be excited about the day. Man, what happens if we move to a place that has a rainy season? :-) When I talk about how beautiful the sunshine is and complain about the rain Damien just reminds me that the beauty of God's creation is just as evident in the rain as in the sunshine. Isn't that so true? But that happens in a lot more circumstances than just ran an sunshine. So why do we only see the beauty when things are as we want them? Things are "blessings" only if we like them. Life is only good if it's going as we want it to. I'm going to try harder to see the "sunshine" in the rain and in all circumstances.
