"Woah, Look at the Fire Truck!"

As most boys at this age, Orin loves when we see a police car, fire truck or ambulance drive by (or any sort of bus or truck for that matter).

Last weekend the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department had it's yearly open house.

We had never been before but knew Orin would love it so we stopped by on our way to Richmond. It was a blast. Orin got to climb in fire trucks, ambulances and police cars.

There was a moon bounce, hot dogs, and a great "police train" (which we think was pulled by a riding lawn mower) that drove the kids around.

We just missed the helicopter landing, but we did get to see the accident scene reenactment which was amazing. They cut up a car and extracted a victim in less than 15 minutes.
