Chiang Mai Zoo

I've lived in a lot of places...and visited a lot of places. One thing I've found is zoo's are all very much the same. Yes, some are nicer, some are bigger, some have better animal habits, but overall, a zoo is a zoo. This was the same for the Chiang Mai zoo. You could have easily felt you were in the US - well apart from the Monks walking around in their orange robes and the Thai being spoken everywhere.
We had a nice day. It's built sort of up a mountain so you pretty much HAVE to take the zoo tram or you'd never make it even 1/5th of the way around. I'm not sure what they were looking at here but they looked cute doing it. :-)

The kids always have to look at the maps. Orin especially.
And Micaiah has to do whatever Orin does. :-)
It was sooooo nice having Mimie there. Micaiah especially loved it because she would play with him for hours after Orin went to school. He spent most of her trip telling her how glad he was that she was here and that he loved her.
Time for the adults to look at the map... which was terrible by the way. I don't know if we ever totally figured it out. :-)
This zoo did have the most beautiful Aviary I had ever been in. You could actually walk up a million stairs and walk around the top of the aviary. It had a huge waterfall too!
