Pictures From This Week

>> Monday, January 19, 2009

I just thought this was a cute picture. This was about as happy as I could get him last week.

We have a knob on the inside of Caiah's door so he can't get out (who knows what he would do in the morning if he got up before us and had free reign of the house). When he wakes in the morning or after his nap he lays right by the door and calls for us. He's always happy and just waits patiently usually saying, "Mommy, I wake up," until I come. Sometimes he says, "Mommy, come and wipe me." (copying what Orin says as he sits on the toilet waiting for help.) Anyway, this day Orin was talking to him under the door and Caiah was sticking his hand out under the door. It was cute.
So I know this is a picture of some random guy, but you can sort of see the kids in the back of the train. There was a Thomas store which had a train and play area. So the point of the picture isn't really the kids riding a Thomas train, but this poor guy who had to sit on this tiny bench and run it! It was hilarious.
Two pictures of the boys playing nicely together. This happens a lot but I'd always take more playing and less arguing. :-)
For his naps Micaiah likes to either sleep in just his diaper or wants to put pajamas. He really enjoys his long afternoon naps and I guess he just wants to be comfortable. After naps he often likes to walk around with his blankets wrapped around him. He must be cold. The picture on the right is of him drinking hot tea.

In college we would often drive into Chattanooga, see a dollar show and then go to Steak 'N Shake for a late dinner. We have a lot of good memories of this. We haven't lived by a Steak 'N Shake until now! We were so excited to find one. I don't think the kids mind either! Can you say, "Late Night Milkshakes!"
