Decorating the tree

The day after cutting down the tree our activity for the day was to decorate it and eat caramel popcorn. I have a great recipe and it made way too much but it was SOOOOO good. I even popped the corn myself in a pot for the first time.

They love this Veggie Tales Nativity. I got it three years ago on clearance after Christmas so this is the second year they have enjoyed it.


The finished product. I have to laugh because when I was in college I remember saying that I would never have a tree like this. My tree wold be perfect. Only nice, matching ornaments and lights could touch my tree. No home-made ornaments. And now, look at my tree. A tiny little tree with one strand of lights, a $4 star and almost all homemade ornaments. I don't mind at all though! A lot of things in my life have changed since then...including my Christmas priorities. :-)
