Micaiah's 2012 Christmas

Micaiah had a great Christmas. This was partly due to the fact that he lost his first tooth on Christmas Day! Here he is showing his loose tooth to Nina and Pops.

I love that he's wearing his bike helmet while opening gifts.

The kids know who Santa is, although we've never talked about him as if he really brought presents to the kids. They know he's just a fun character like any that they watch in movies or in books. But Micaiah loves to pretend he's real. It's like he wishes he were real. If we did "do" Santa, I think Micaiah would get really into it. I labeled one of his gifts, "From Santa" and Micaiah got a real kick out of it.

You could give this kid a box of coal and would find some way to be excited about it. He the best kid to give gifts to.

Damien got money for Christmas to buy an exercise bike so he didn't have any gifts under the tree. Micaiah thought this was sad so he made him a few gifts at school so that he would have something under the tree. It was just too sweet. And he was so excited while Damien opened them.
