Legals!!!!

I emailed our case worker this morning to ask if our care package had been sent to Sora in Korea. (It was sent on October 5th). I also asked if she thought the legals would arrive soon. Well, she wrote back about an hour later saying what amazing timing my email was because just moments before she saw it she had opened the package from SWS containing the legals. Awesome.

So, I'm still not exactly sure what legals are. And honestly, I don't really care. :-) All I know is that this means our case worker can file our I-600 (she said she was going to mail it out to USCIS today). I'm just excited that we've gotten past another step and that things are moving forward.

Our case worker said it takes about 5 weeks to get I-600 approval. Five weeks from today is November 17. Once that is approved, she said that it is about another 6 weeks after that to travel. So that would be December 29th. Ha, still barely before the end of the year. Obviously, the 5 & 6 week time frames are just estimates. It could easily be a little before or after that. We're just trying to stay relaxed and not have any expectations. We're just living our life and trying to enjoy the last few months we have as a family of four. We're trying...
