A weekend to remeber

Ha, ha, that sounds like a marriage conference or something. :-) As I may have mentioned before, Orin LOVES anything that has to do with space. So we thought it would be fun to take him to the Johnson Space Center in Houston. My grandmother (who we call GG (great-grandma) lives there and graciously offered to let us stay with her. We decided to go down on a weekend when my dad was going to be there for work so he could come to.
The weekend couldn't have gone better. The kids did well in GG's house. Nothing got broken or ruined and neither of them knocked GG down with their eager hugs. :-) We drove down Thursday night when Damien got off of work. On Friday went to the Children's Museum in Houston. It was amazing...the best Children's Museum we've ever been to. It was great for our little boys, but would have been great for kids 10 or older. Pops came in that night and we went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.
Saturday was the big day when we went to the Johnson Space Center. Another successful day! We were there from 11am to 6pm and didn't stop. We went an a 1.5 hour tour of the center and got to see the Control room and tour where the astronauts train to live on the Space Station. I'll post pictures from this in a different post.
Sunday Damien worked on getting GG's new computer set up while Pops worked around the house. I went to a thrift store and just tried to keep the kids entertained. We went to Five Guy's Hamburgers before heading home. We were so excited to come across one of them by GG's house. We thought they were only in NOVA. So yummy!
They had this great digital dodge ball game. Only Micaiah didn't quite get the point and ran around trying to step on the 'ball' instead of running away. It was so cute.Grandma decided this was her favorite chair in the museum.
Micaiah was so hilarious with these mirrors. It's one of those mirrors that makes it looks like there are 10 of you. He stayed there forever just singing and talking with all of the other Micaiah's.
Concentrating VERY hard to stack his blocks.
Satisfied!
I couldn't resist taking some pictures of this beautiful face.
