A visit from Mimie!

In September we had a visit from Mimie. Obviously, I'm a little late posting some this but I want to remember all of the things we did. It was a wonderful, fun filled week, topped off by the fact that we got the referral for Sora while she was here. It took the kids a week to recover from all of the running around and missing naps but it was totally worth it!

Friday - Picked up Mimie from the airport! The kids ran as soon as they saw her they were so excited.
Saturday to Monday - camping at Lake Bob Sandlin!
Tuesday - Museum of Nature & Science - It was awesome. We went there because there is a children's museum section, but the kids ended up liking the regular museum even more than the children's area. In the evening Orin had soccer practice and then we went to Hav-R-Charburger (a local hamburger joint) for dinner. Yum.

Micaiah loved having the air blow in his face. And he looked so cute with his hair blowing everywhere.
Orin loved digging for dinosaur bones. He was very meticulous and spent a lot of time brushing off the sand.

Wednesday - Orin was at school so we took Micaiah to story time at the library and then went grocery shopping. That evening we took the kids bowling for the first time. I think they really enjoyed it although it took them a while to figure out what was going on. :-)

Ok, I LOVED the shoes. They were the cutest things I've ever seen.

Thursday - We got our referral call in the morning so it was going to be a good day no matter what we did. We met our my playgroup at the zoo. After the zoo we went to the planetarium and saw "Secret of the Cardboard Rocket." Orin loved it. Orin had soccer practice again that evening and afterward we went to Toys 'R Us. Mimie let Micaiah pick out a gift for his birthday that was coming up the next week. We sang happy birthday to him that evening.
Friday - We got Sora's information in the mail around 11am. It was very exciting! I think we went somewhere that afternoon but I'm totally drawing a blank. On Friday night Mimie babysat while Damien and I went out on a date. We had dinner and even got to see a movie. We saw District 9.
Saturday - Orin had his first soccer game in the morning. It was POURING rain the entire time. We went back home for a while and then headed to church for a potluck with our Adoption Support Group called Tapestry.
Sunday - On Sunday we went to church in the morning and then to lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant. I can't remember what we did that night.
Monday - we had to wait around for the doctor to call with Sora's medical report. After she called we celebrated by going to get Korean food! It was the first time for us all. Then we went and saw, Ponyo followed by ice cream at the mall before taking Mimie to the airport.
