I survived!

Well, I survived my first trip to Wal-mart with three kids. :-) It was actually pretty uneventful. Usually Micaiah sits in the little seat in the basket and Orin sits in the back. So today I just held Sora in the sling. It worked perfectly. I went before her morning nap but I could tell she was getting tired by the end.
One thing that has been hard to get used to is the people looking at us. I never really thought about the fact that it would happen. I don't particularly like it...but I'm at least getting used to just ignoring it. I guess I'd better because I assume it will be happening for a long time. I also got quite a few, "Wow, you've got your hands full!"
Sora is getting so great about the car seat. One thing I've heard about adopted children is that they have such a hard time with it because they've never been in one before. She cried bloody murder the first few times but has been getting better ever since. She still starts whimpering when we walk to the car and she sees me open the door (anticipating what is to come) but today there was no crying at all. I'm hoping she's realizing it's a part of life and gets more and more used to it.
I wanted to post this picture of Micaiah. This was from when we drove home from the airport - Sora's first time in the car seat. He got out two wipes and used them to cover his ears to drown out the crying. Not sure how well that worked. :-)

Your family is precious, Renee. You really are taking everything in stride...and so is the rest of the gang:) Im sure it helped to read ahead and be as prepared as possible. Just wanted to say that I am so glad everything is going well.
oh my goodness that is precious... love him! Sorry about everyone looking at you. I do that to big families too but it is mostly because I love that (large families). So, sorry if I ever stare at you :) Glad she isn't crying anymore. That is what I love about living here... we don't have to have the car all the time....
