Another trip to Chiang Rai

>> Thursday, December 23, 2010

As I mentioned we stayed in Chiang Rai for a night before heading across the border. In most of Thailand, especially smaller cities, hotels are extremely cheap. We were able to stay in a really nice hotel for probably about the same price as a hole-in-the-wall at home. The kids had fun exploring the grounds. Since we’re in a high-rise apartment with no green in sight, they love having room to roam and be outside.

Sitting outside on our little porch swing.
Pretty cool pool.
The hotel was right on the Mae Kok River. The kids thought it was really neat.
Greenery!!!

Having fun just walking around.

Damien often walks with his hands behind his back and Sora, being the imitator that she is, was walking the same way. It was too cute.

Even though it was overcast and in the 70’s, the kids really really wanted to go swimming. They lasted pretty long considering! We didn’t bring bathing suits because we didn’t think we’d be swimming but they didn’t mind going in their underwear.

Caiah contemplating weather or not he should swim into the deep end.

Just relaxing!
Our shower was outside. Just screens on the windows.
Mosquito nets on the beds.
