Even Ronald is Polite

Thailand is called "The Land of Smiles." People here are known to always have a smile on their face and be extremely polite. Outward/public anger is definitely not culturally acceptable.

A "wai" is a greeting that Thai people use. It is very much a status thing...the higher status someone is, the deeper you wai. As far as I can tell it doesn't have any religious connotation. There is a lot more I could write about this, but I just wanted to show how polite Ronald McDonald is. This is what you see when you walk into McDonald's. :-)
