Stitches are out!

They were actually taken out about two weeks ago, but I haven't gotten the chance to post about it.
We spent five days going to the hospital every day for them to clean it. It was pretty pointless. I could have easily done it myself at home. At least it only took about 30 and was only about $3 each time we went (even though they made us to go the ER every time). I'm wondering if they made us come in just so they could dote on the boys. It's crazy. Almost every Nurse and Doctor would be huddled around the kids. The kids enjoy it. I'm glad they do because some kids just cry and cry. We try to minimize the attention, but it's going to happen so it's easier if the kids don't mind as much.
Getting the stitches out. Luckily the nurse knew what she was doing. Another friend in our group had a child who got stitches in their lip at the same hospital a few years ago. The nurse obviously didn't know what she was doing and not only used regular scissors to take out the stitches, but didn't use the tweezers to pull them away fro the skin. He said that every time the nurse cut a stitch she would cut the child's lip! Just reminds me that we have to be aware at all times to make sure they know what they are doing!

They gave Micaiah a huge bag of cookies. He was pretty excited. :-)

Here is a video my brave little boy. And you can hear Micaiah saying that he wanted to sit up next to Orin so he could watch.

My brave little Orin. I am so proud of you!!
Aw, so glad the ordeal is over for him. :)
Renee, I had stitches in my lip and it hurt like heck to get them out! It's very different than regular skin.
