Leaving on a jet plane

>> Thursday, February 18, 2010

We are ready to go. We are SO ready to go! I actually finished packing early this afternoon and finished packing the car by 3pm. I spent the rest of the day cleaning the house. I love coming home to a spotless home after a long trip. We will want to be having fun with our new little girl and not worrying about cleaning up. This evening I made a quick trip to the hospital to visit a friend who had a baby today while my wonderful husband fed the kids and cleaned up the kitchen. Now I get to just relax and blog. :-)

So many thoughts and emotions are going through our heads right now. I think I'll be able to relax once we make it to the airport and get on the plane. I'm always so worried about missing the flight when we fly. I'll be setting three different alarms clocks tonight to make sure we wake up! Damien is more stressed about all of the logistics of our trip once we get there. It's nice to know we will have a social worker there who speaks English and will help us get to where we need to go. Of course our biggest prayer is for Sora who will be leaving everything she knows and having to live with strangers. I can't even imagine when my kids were ten months old sending them to live with someone they had never met.

We obviously can't wait to meet her. It's going to be a long two days while we're in Korea before Monday but we're looking forward to doing a little sight seeing.

A little later tonight I'll be posting a list of ways you can be praying for us this week.

These kids are so excited. They packed their backpacks this afternoon with the toys they want to bring and then wore the backpacks for over an hour. They even watched a video with them on. :-)

Our suitcases. We only have three so it helps me keep the amount of items we bring to a minimum. I really really hope I didn't forget anything important!
