Reservations Confirmed!

SWS accepted our itinerary! This means we can leave Thursday! We also get to stay at the SWS guest house which is a HUGE answered prayer. I was dreading having to find a hotel room close to the SWS office that we could all fit in and afford.

We called the travel agency and purchased the plane tickets that were on hold. I think we got a great price because not only were they less than the exact same flights on Orbitz, the kids were also $200 cheaper than our fare - I wasn't getting this discount on Orbitz. If anyone has flown Koran Air let me know how you liked it? I'm so excited that we have direct flights! I was dreading the layover on the trip back. The funny thing is that as soon as they charged the flights we got a "fraud alert" call from the credit card company. It is not a common occurrence for us to make $4,000+ purchases! ;-) Reminding me how thankful we are for the grant.

Another thing that we're excited about is that we were also told that we can visit the Uhjeongbu baby reception home. This is the orphanage where Sora spent the first 3 months of her life before she was put in her Foster home. Uhjeongbu is about 1 1/2 hours north of Seoul and we'll have to take a taxi on our own. But I think our SWS social worker in Korea will help us get a taxi and give us directions. We'll get a tour of the reception home when we get there. It will be so great to have pictures and video to show Sora in the future. She won't have any pictures of her first three months of life, but we'll have some of where she lived. Since we meet Sora on Monday and get custody on Wednesday, I think we'll go up there on Tuesday. Since we'll already be up north of the city I might also try to schedule a tour of the demilitarized zone.

We were told that we will meet our SWS social worker at 9:30am on Monday and she will drive us to the foster family's home where we'll meet Sora for the first time! Korea is 15 hours ahead of us so it will be Sunday even 6:30pm US central time. Only 9 LONG days until we finally get to meet our baby girl!
